It is available for download from:Our website, www.browserhighlighter.com. The FireFox Add-On gallery, part of a bundle from when you install the latest version of Skype: http://www.skype.com. Please know that in order to complete the installation of the Browser Highlighter, you had to have accepted our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy What does TRUSTe certification mean?   The Browser Highlighter Team takes your privacy very seriously! Which operating systems and browsers is the Browser Highlighter compatible with?   The Browser Highlighter is compatible with these operating systems: Windows XP; 32 bit Windows Vista; 32 bit Mac OS-X; with Intel based processors Ubuntu; 8.04, Kernel 2.6 and up The Browser Highlighter is compatible with these browsers: Internet Explorer 6.0 and up Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and up Why is the Browser Highlighter inserting JavaScript on pages while I browse?   The Browser Highlighter contains a wide range of functionality from popping up real-time eBay auction alerts to displaying deals on eBay products when product names are found in pages. As with any plugin, the Browser Highlighter modifies page content in order to display the overlays. Only pages that meet a certain criteria are tagged for overlay support, but when a page is tagged, a small amount javascript is inserted into the page to make the overlay functional. I am using Windows Vista and can't uninstall the Browser Highlighter.   If you are using the Browser Highlighter with the Windows Vista operating system and would like to uninstall, please follow these instructions: Click on the Start button at the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Find and right-click on the Mozilla Firefox Select "Run as administrator" Click continue when the "User Access Controls" prompt is shown. Go to your open Firefox browser session. Click on the "Add-ons" option in the "Tools" drop down menu. Select TBH extension and click the "Uninstall" button. Why is The Browser highlighter inserting JavaScript into the pages that I browse?   The Browser Highlighter contains a wide range of functionality from pushing out eBay listing alerts to letting users see live eBay listings on other shopping pages. When our overlays are shown on a page a small amount JavaScript is inserted into the page to make the overlay functional such as fetching search results and handling certain types of browser events. The Browser Highlighter only shows these overlays on pages that meet a certain criteria. This type of JavaScript insertion is an approach used by many other plugin makers and has little if any effect on the page you are viewing. Skype PNR

Why are you formatting phone numbers?   To make it easier for our customers to call the phone numbers found on web pages. The Browser Highlighter was formatting phone numbers before. Now it's not. How do I turn it back on?   Download and run the latest version of Skype. Make sure you go into Options during the first installer screen and select Upgrade/Install the Skype add-on for Internet Explorer or Firefox. We recommend that you close your browser during installation. If you do not, the Skype add-ons will be installed during your next computer re-boot. I upgraded and now my PNR is missing. What happened?   We do all we can to make sure PNR doesn't stop working for any reason and we apologize for the trouble caused. To enable it again, we suggest that you download the latest version of Skype and install it. Make sure you go into Options during the first installer screen and select Upgrade/Install the Skype add-on for Internet Explorer or Firefox. We recommend that you close your browser during installation. If you do not, the Skype add-ons will be installed during your next computer re-boot

Compare on eBay

What is Compare on eBay?   Compare on eBay is a plug-in tool that places buttons on specific shopping and search pages to deliver all the best deals on the products you are searching for. Click the Compare on eBay button to see live eBay listings and bargains from these types of sites: Search engines Shopping comparison sites Traditional shopping sites, and more! I found a cool eBay listing using Compare on eBay. How do I see more information about it?   You can see more information about an eBay listing by clicking on the picture or title within the compare window. By clicking on the picture or title you will be redirected away from the page you are on to a page with details about the listing you selected. If you would like to go directly to eBay, simply click the eBay logo. You can also see all of the results for the product you are looking for by clicking "See More Listings" or "Find More on eBay". How do I turn Compare on eBay on/off?   You can turn Compare on eBay on/off by toggling the switch in the Browser Highlighter drop down menu. Follow these simple steps: Click the Browser Highlighter icon in your browser toolbar. Select the Compare on eBay option in the drop down menu. If you see a check next to the Compare on eBay option in the drop down menu, Compare is on. If there is no check, Compare is off. What countries does Compare on eBay support?   Compare on eBay version 2.0 is available in the following countries: United States Compare on eBay version 1.0 is available in the following countries: Australia Belgium Dutch Belgium French, default Canada French Canada English, default France Germany Hong Kong Italy Netherlands Poland Spain United Kingdom I am ready to bid on an item I found using Compare on eBay. What do I do?   The easiest way to bid on an item you found in a Compare on eBay window is by clicking the "Place Bid" button. This will take you directly to the page where you can enter the amount you would like to bid on an auction or confirm a buy-it-now price. If you would like to see more information about a specific item before bidding, click on the title or picture to view that item's listing page.

Highlighter Shortcuts

How do I turn Highlighter Shortcuts on and off?   You can turn Highlighter Shortcuts on/off by toggling the switch in the Browser Highlighter drop down menu. Follow these simple steps: Click the Browser Highlighter icon in your browser toolbar. Select the Highlighter Shortcuts option in the drop down menu. If you see a check next to the Highlighter Shortcuts option in the drop down menu, Highlighter Shortcuts is on. If there is no check, Highlighter Shortcuts is off. How do I customize Highlighter Shortcuts?   Picking which sites you'd like to get Highlighter Shortcuts from is easy. All you need to do is follow these simple steps: Click the Browser Highlighter icon in your toolbar. Select the "Preferences" option in the drop down menu to open the preferences window. Click the "Highlighter Shortcuts" tab at the top of the preferences window. Click the box next to the sites from which you'd like to receive Highlighter Shortcuts. Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the preferences window. I am seeing yellow underlined words on some web pages I visit. What are they?   The Browser Highlighter finds and underlines important terms on the web pages you visit. If you hover over one of these terms with your mouse, it will show a small window with important information related to that particular term. We call this tool Highlighter "Shortcuts". The terms we highlight cover a wide variety of topics, such as shopping, sports, music, entertainment, politics, etc. If you'd like more information than what shows up in the shortcuts window, you can click any link you see to go to a full webpage related to the highlighted term.

Alerts

How do I sign-up for Browser Highlighter Alerts?   Signing up for Alerts is simple. Just follow these steps: Click the Browser Highlighter button located on your browser's toolbar Select and click the "Preferences" option in the drop down menu. Click the "Alerts" tab in the preferences window. Click "Sign in" at the bottom of the Alerts tab. Enter your eBay username and password when prompted. Click the "I agree" button which links your eBay account to the Browser Highlighter Alerts platform. Why am I getting Alerts from the Browser Highlighter?   The Browser Highlighter occasionally sends out various types of notifications to keep you up to date on important information. All Browser Highlighter users are notified of important product changes & available upgrades in this fashion. You can also receive alerts on other topics and your eBay activity. To customize your alerts settings, visit the alerts tab in the Browser Highlighter preferences menu. What eBay Alerts can the Browser Highlighter send me?   If you sign up for eBay alerts through the Browser Highlighter, you will receive these notifications when: You've been outbid on an item you are watching An item being watched or bid on is ending soon You've won or lost an auction The bid on an item you are involved with has changed An auction has ended for an item you were bidding on or watching Why should I sign up for Alerts?   Select the Alerts you would like to see and the Browser Highlighter will deliver the notifications you've requested in real time. Never miss an important eBay event again! How do I turn Alerts on and off?   Turning alerts on or off is easy! Just follow these steps: Click on the Browser Highlighter logo in your toolbar. Select and click the "Alerts" option in the drop down menu. If there is a check next to the Alerts option in the drop down menu, that feature is on. If no check is present, that feature is off. What does "snooze" mean? Why does the alert keep popping up if I snoozed?   Clicking the snooze button on a Browser Highlighter Alert will make the alert go away for a little while. You can select how long you would like the snooze to last by editing your Browser Highlighter preferences. To adjust your snooze settings: Click the Browser Highlighter plug in button located on your browser's toolbar. Select "Preferences" from the drop down menu Select "Alerts" tab Set snooze to desired settings. Click "Save" and your Alerts preferences are updated and saved. How do I customize Alerts?   Customizing what alerts you receive is easy! Just follow these steps: Click the Browser Highlighter button on the top of your browser In the menu click "Preferences" option Choose Alerts tab From here you can update what Alerts you would like to see and how long you would like the snooze settings Why is the current price of an eBay listing colored red or green?   The color of the price of the eBay listing is meant to specify whether you are winning, losing, or watching the auction. Green: You are currently winning this item Red: You are currently losing this item Black: You are watching, not bidding, or are tied Want to link my eBay account to the Browser Highlighter?   In order for the Browser Highlighter to deliver real-time alerts related to your eBay account, you need to sign in to eBay. The account linking process allows the Browser Highlighter to send you real-time updates on your eBay activity.
